This is a joint project
of local citizens and students of Tokyo National University of Fine
Arts and Music. Boats that used to carry people and freighton the
River Tone, called Takase-bune, are made for this occasion. In addition,
Sappa-bune, boats to escape from floods, which have survived around
Toride, are collected and arranged at Furutone-numa marsh to form
Fune-hashi, afloating bridge between the cities of Toride and Abiko.
