■Atsushi Yamaoka Proposal

Title: "For the Reverse Side of the View of the Riverside"

Site: The basin of the River Tone and Toride Green Park
Materials: Luminous paints

Concept:
People will look at the reverse side of the usual view and reconsider their acts. The trash thrown away on the basin is painted with luminous paints, and it gives a beautiful landscape at night when the paints begin to glow. It shows us that the dirtier people's deeds became, the more beautiful the land scape could be. It warns us, at the same time, about the masked superficiality of beauty. Experiencing the twisted reality by looking at the reverse side of the view of the riverside will provide people with an opportunity to think over their acts in everyday life.
